In the event the beautiful new bold red signs have not drawn your
attention, perhaps this little nudge will have you giving Rubins a
second look! After nearly a century of doing business in the Capitol
city, one of Madison's oldest furniture and home décor retail outlets
decided it was time for a makeover.
Rubins furniture has given each of its 3 locations distinct new
signage, starting by going from Rubins at their Whitney Way location,
to just the R! Manager Robin Bone, tells us the R Lifestyle store
carries furniture themed toward a smaller apartment or condo, something
we're seeing more of throughout town. The east side store on Monona
Drive maintains its status as the Clearance Center. And, Rubins
downtown, too feels the new look compliments its theme of contemporary
trends in home furnishings.

The E. Wilson Street location by the way for all you history and buy
local buffs, is just down the street from the original Rubins location.
It was almost a century ago that Ben Rubin opened Badger Furniture Co.
on the corner where the Great Dane now stands. The company has been a
family run business ever since.
